The Elizabethtown Police Foundation was established by business and civic leaders as an independent, non-profit organization to promote excellence in the Elizabethtown Police Department (EPD) and improve and enhance public safety in the City of Elizabethtown.
The Foundation supports programs designed to help the EPD keep pace with rapidly evolving technology, strategies and training. It provides support to officers and their families when they are taxed with extraordinary needs resulting from the officer’s service to their community. The Foundation also provides resources that are not readily available through other means.
The Foundation encourages and supports EPD programs and staff in three main areas:
Projects, research studies, and equipment to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of police activities.
Education, training and skill development to strengthen the partnership between the police and the public.
Support to family and officers in crisis
